Sturgis Soccer

October 9, 2009

Today we had an away game against Chatham. The first thing that I noticed was how their soccer field was larger than the fields that we normally play on. It was also pretty rainy and wet out. The girls didn't seem like they were in the right mind to play soccer at the beginning of the game, but once it started we improved our performance. By half time and a little after, however, the team as a whole started to seem kind of lazy. In my opinion, and after talking to my coach, it was because we were not used to playing on such a large field. The larger field indirectly attacked our structure because we were not used to playing so far apart from each other. During half time coach, Kate, and I gave advice on how to improve what we were lacking. A few other girls also had individual advice to share. Overall, while we encountered with a small problem that effected us, we worked together and showed everyone that we could work as a team successfully and improvise with different situations.
